mSoftPlayer is mSoft Inc.'s custom interface between the MusicCue digital asset management system and your local workstation. mSoftPlayer allows you, the editor or producer, to audition clips, modify them, and then transfer them to your local workstation.
mSoftPlayer is divided up into three main sections. The Player mode is an auditioning utility that gives the user a variety of file manipulation functions on an individual file basis. The Spot Transfer mode is used to transfer the contents of Spots you have created within mSoft ServerSound or MusicCue's Project Management system. The Preferences window of mSoftPlayer serves as the central configuration area for mSoftPlayer's menagerie of functions.
Speaking of functions, here is a list of the mSoftPlayer's most important functionalities:
- Auditioning of full resolution files directly from your mSoft server.
- Waveform generation for all Quicktime compatible media.
- Transfer of full resolution files from your mSoft Server to your local workstation.
- Partial Transfer of full resolution files from your mSoft Server to your local workstation.
- Sample rate, bit rate, and channel conversions during transfer operations.
