The
mSoftPlayer program was created to establish a better interface
between ServerSound and the client's computer, especially in case of a
proprietary hard drive format on the digital audio work station. The
mSoft player is an optional module which can play WAV, BWF (broadcast
wave format), MPG, or AIFF files, and which includes a small TCP/IP
client and HTTP client that 'talks' to the main ServerSound computer
directly. Allowing this communication, and provided that all hard
drives on the main server are mounted on the desktop of the client
computer, a good integration and batch transfer of sound to several
DAW's is available. For example, Fairlight, dSP and WaveFrame have
cooperated with mSoft to create a seamless handshake with their
proprietary drives.
mSoft
has a variety of powerful Mastering tools to get all your audio assets
online for all your post production needs. The Promaster suite is a
collection of all of the software tools we created for our own
mastering use and they are available through a facility-wide license.
